sheesh! since when did LA get so expensive? now, when i was living in southern california about 10 years, i was under the impression that the overall cost of living down there was much cheaper than in the bay area. what’s happend to LA? how has it grown so much? i mean, there is an abundance of land, relative to the bay, but it baffles me that supply and demand for housing is really so that it can really support that many people with those kinds of prices. i’ve been trolling craigslist for awhile now and it seems as if LA is just about as expensive as San Francisco. since i’ve been living in the east bay for so long, this is quite shocking to me. how the hell am i gonna afford something comfortable on a student’s income? ugh.

i just ran across this site and love it to death. it’s called justcurio.us and is a site that let’s you submit any kind of question where strangers than can answer. the questions range from the banal, to the absurd, and touching. there is something very poetic about these brief instances of virtual encounter. it kinda reminds me learningtoloveyou more in the way that the art assignments are just thrown out to the world to see who will respond.
